World Oral Health Day and World Tuberculosis Day camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, SRM Dental College, Ramapuram along with Ananya Foundation on 19/03/2023, Sunday at Soolaipallam. We shed some light on oral hygiene, maintenance of oral health and it’s significance among 15 general population. Awareness about intake of nutritious food for maintenance of good oral hygiene was given. Oral screening was done for all the participants in the home. Brushing technique was explained to all the participants and the participants also practiced the brushing technique on the tooth model individually. We created awareness on tuberculosis infection, it’s mode of spread, explained about the signs and symptoms and the ways to prevent them to each beneficiaries. We distributed the pamphlets regarding the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and preventing communicable diseases like tuberculosis. Oral hygiene Instructions were given to all the participants among which preventive treatments like topical fluoride application, pits and fissure sealants were applied and atraumatic restorative treatment were carried out on 4 participants. Participants requiring high end procedures were referred to SRM Dental College OPD. We clarified all the doubts raised by the participants.
